Currently we have a vacancy in our Amsterdam office for a Java Developer.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will be part of the Platform team within SDL Tridion Development Lab. The team is responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining all SDL Tridion Content management platform components for cross-channel delivery of content to multiple front-ends. We will deploy the technology that will deliver the best solution possible, ranging from Java, XML and XSL to COM/.NET. Working within the Platform Team, Your key responsibilities will include the design and development of content delivery technology.
Result areas
- Designing and developing new applications and extensions to the current applications
- Maintaining existing applications
- Reviewing peer deliverables
- Providing input to technical writers
- Assisting functional and technical testers
Skills, Experience and Personality

Furthermore you possess:
- A university or bachelor degree in information technology
- 2 years experience with Java 2 Standard Edition within a product company
- Knowledge of and experience with OO design, UML and design patterns
- Knowledge of and experience with XML and related technologies and specs (XSL/XSLT, XPath, SAX, DOM)
- Sound knowledge of and experience with database technology (SQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience with JUnit and Ant
- Ability to work as part of a dedicated team, including testers and technical writers
- Flexible, enthusiastic, independent, self-starting and goal-oriented
- Ability to hit the ground running!
- Working knowledge of the .NET platform and Java/.Net interop issues
- Experience working for a product company
- Experience with leading application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss)
