Overview

Are you our Technical Consultant NL with great communication skills, technical insight and two to four years' work experience in consulting, developing and implementing complex solutions using Internet and web technology? We are SDL Tridion, Europe’s leading provider of advanced enterprise content management software. Currently we have a job opening in our Amsterdam office for a Technical Consultant.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As a Technical Consultant you advise and support customers and partners in the development of complex interactive solutions using the SDL Tridion Content Management software (SDL Tridion R5) and/or the other products and services from SDL Tridion’s product portfolio. Your main responsibilities are translating customer requirements into technical solutions and helping customers to implement these solutions. This includes the development of integrations with back office applications, portal technology and application servers.
• Your role in a customer project can vary. In some projects you will support and train the customers and their partners on how to implement and develop with the SDL Tridion software. In other projects you will act as the technical lead and coordinate all the activities related to the technical part of the implementation.
• You communicate directly with clients, helping to prepare their organisation for the ongoing development and maintenance of their SDL Tridion based solution.
• Your job includes international travel.

Skills, Experience and Personality

• Two to four years' work experience in consulting, developing and implementing complex solutions using Internet and web technology.
• You are either a technical specialist with well-developed interpersonal skills, or a generalist with a healthy interest in details and ambition to develop a specific expertise quickly.
• Technical insight, and a strong interest in developing solutions with internet-technology. Able to work both independently and within a team.
• You are a fast learner.
• Persuasive, results-orientated and practical.
• Good communication skills.
• You are looking for a job where you can perfect your Internet technology skills, in an exciting and open environment.
• Good knowledge and a solid experience in at least a number of the following areas is a prerequisite:
• Platforms: Windows NT/2000/XP, UNIX, web server technology, .Net and J2EE
• Database: MS SQL, Oracle, DB2 and Tamino
• Languages: (D)HTML, Visual Basic, ASP, JSP, XML-Schema, XSLT and JAVA
• Application & Sap portals, IBM portal, BEA Portal, IBM Web sphere, BEA 
• Portal Servers:Weblogic, iPlanet and MS Portal Server
• Search engines: Verity, Index Server, Inktomy and Autonomy
• Preferably a university or higher vocational degree.
• A good command of the English language.
• Good command of Dutch is an advantage.
